English as a second language

Today I will write a rhyme,
to tell you about one of my most difficult time.
As English is not my first language,
to me, speaking and listening are the hardest.

First time when I was aboard studying,
I had a difficult time when I went eating.
When I was at McDonald’s,
Listening to their questions was quite difficult.

For example, they normally asked “Eat in or take away?”
“Yes” was what I normally say.
“What would you like to drink?”
“Yes” was my answer without a blink.

When I went to order food at restaurant, and waitress asked about a side dish.
My answer was “I ordered fish”
No No… “I mean what would you like to eat with?”
My prompt answer was “of course, it must be a dish”!
