Football match reunion

Today I went to play football with friends from high school.
The match started at two o’clock in the afternoon.
We spent about two hours on the field,
to play and show our latest football skills.

We all remembered the time that we had some fun.
That was about thirty years ago when we were second to none.
Here we are, trying to play the way we used to.
But we are getting old and we don’t even know what we should do.

I played as a striker, the same position I used to play.
Then I scored three goals, getting my hat trick without any delay.
In this match, in total my team scored six wonderful goals.
The other teams can only score twelve, just in case you want to know.
